NextGenInnov8 Events successfully planned, managed, and executed “Brothers at Borders,” a unique Corporate Raksha Bandhan celebration organized by CapitaLand at International Tech Park, Hyderabad.

Built around the thoughtful concept, “Let’s celebrate the bond with those who protect our borders,” the initiative transformed a traditional Raksha Bandhan celebration into an engaging employee experience centred on creativity, gratitude, and appreciation for the soldiers serving at India’s borders.

A Purpose-Driven Raksha Bandhan Celebration

As part of the celebration, corporate employees participated in a Rakhi Making Workshop, where they created handmade Rakhis and wrote heartfelt messages for soldiers serving across the country's borders.

The activity provided employees with an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of Raksha Bandhan while expressing their appreciation for the individuals who dedicate themselves to protecting the nation.

Rather than being limited to a conventional workplace celebration, Brothers at Borders connected the festival with a larger social and emotional purpose. Every handmade Rakhi and message represented a gesture of respect, gratitude, and support for India's armed forces.

Engaging Employees Through Creativity and Purpose

The Rakhi Making Workshop was designed to encourage active employee participation while creating a memorable workplace experience. Employees stepped away from their regular routines, collaborated with colleagues, explored their creativity, and contributed to a celebration with a deeper purpose.

By combining a traditional Indian festival with an interactive activity, the event demonstrated how corporate festival celebrations can become effective employee engagement experiences.

The concept also provided a simple yet powerful way for employees to connect with the values of appreciation, togetherness, and community.
